Rick ‘Zombie Boy’ Genset uploaded a haunting Facebook post hinting at treatment for depression
Just months ago the 32-year-old model uploaded an image of himself on a hospital bed along with an “exchange” between a patient and a doctor.
In the picture Genest is seen sitting on a hospital bed brooding into the camera wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words “KILL ME”.
Protruding from his mouth was a wooden tongue depressor and alongside the picture were the words of a “conversation” between a doctor and a patient.
It read: “Patient: Doctor, I have a problem. I feel unhealthy and depressed.

“Doctor: You should cut down on smoking.
“Patient: I don’t smoke.
“Doctor: You should stop taking drugs.
“Patient: I don’t do drugs.
“Doctor: You should cut down on womanizing.
“Patient: Haven’t touched a woman in my life.
“Doctor: …. In that case, get yourself a drink, learn to smoke, do some drugs, and find a couple of girlfriends.”

Genest had previously hinted at struggling with mental health issues down the years.
In a 2012 interview with the Evening Standard he said “depression is a strong thing” before hurriedly changing the subject.
His last Facebook post before his death also had a haunting tone.
A self-penned poem titled “The Well”spoke of “dire straights” and a “soul being cast down”.
His death was confirmed on Facebook last night by his agency Dulcedo Management, who paid tribute to the “icon of the artistic scene”.
It said: “The whole dulcedo family is shocked and pained by this tragedy. Zombie Boy, Rico, was loved by all those who had the chance to meet him and know him.
“Icon of the artistic scene and the fashion world, this innovator, against popular culture, has been able to charm all hearts.
Facebook His final post featured an eerie poem titled ‘The Well’
“We received the unfortunate news at the beginning of the afternoon and members of the team have come to support his family and relatives in this dark and difficult moment.
“We want to present our deepest condolences and the legend will survive human. Thank you zb for these beautiful moments in your company and for your radiant smile.”
