THERE is already speculation about who will be the next batch of stars to sign up to I’m A Celebrity 2018 for a stint in the jungle down-under.

But who are they? And when will the show return? Here’s all we know…

ITV I’m a Celebrity will return with a brand new batch of stars for 2018

When is I’m a Celebrity back on TV?

No date has been confirmed for I’m A Celebrity 2018.

But it’s likely to start in November and end in December 2018.

ITV will again air the show after agreeing on a new two-year-deal before the start of the last series.

The show usually runs for three weeks.

However, on May 15, 2018 it was revealed that I’m A Celebrity fans fear this year’s show will be cancelled as Declan Donnelly is due to have a baby and his co-presenter Ant McPartlin remains in recovery following his drink drive conviction.

What is I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?

I’m A Celebrity is an ITV reality TV series.

It sees 12 celebrities live together in the Australian jungle for around three weeks.

They have no luxuries, and compete to be crowned king or queen of the jungle.

The campmates must endure daily Bushtucker Trails, which often consist of being enclosed in small spaces and being showered with bugs – or in the worst case… eating them.

The show is hosted by Ant and Dec.

Ant and Dec return as hosts of I’m a Celebrity 2018

Will Ant be hosting I’m A Celebrity 2018?

No, he won’t! The Sun’s Bizarre column has exclusively confirmed that Ant will not be returning to I’m A Celebrity in 2018.

In an exclusive statement to The Sun, the 42-year-old today announced he will be off until at least 2019 – also ruling himself out of next year’s series of Takeaway because pre-production work would need to begin imminently.

He said: “My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.

“I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.”

Dec, also 42, will still head to Australia to front I’m A Celebrity without his partner for the first time, but a decision has not yet been taken over whether he will host the programme single-handedly or with a guest co-host.

Dec explained: “Whilst I am obviously sad at the thought of being without my best friend in Australia this year, I am proud of the work Ant has been doing privately and I am fully supportive of his decision.

“I’m looking forward to us both being reunited on screen in 2019.”

ITV Director of Television Kevin Lygo said: “ITV is completely supportive of Ant taking as much time as he needs in his recovery and of this mutual decision to rest Takeaway in 2019.

“Ant is clearly making good progress and we wish him all the very best and look forward to him returning to ITV next year.

“An announcement on I’m A Celebrity plans will be made in due course.”

“Women love him, men respect him – and it’d be interesting to see if he’s as practical in the camp as he is on a building site.

“He’s been offered the show a few times before, but this year they really want him on it so they’re bending over backwards and offering him big money.”

Nick has hosted several reality shows in the past – but never actually appeared on one as a contestant.
