EDDIE HEARN has rubbished the proposed bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury – calling the fight “ridiculous”.
The Gypsy King revealed he will face the WBC heavyweight champion in Las Vegas in December, claiming it took him just two days to finalise the terms.

But Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn believes the potential match-up between the two unbeaten boxers is nonsense.
Speaking to iFL TV, the 39-year-old said: “What? When he’s just fought Sefer Seferi? And now he’s fighting ‘Andrea Pizza-netta’ [Francesco Pianeta].
“Don’t be ridiculous. Listen you can be bluffed out by what you want, ‘oh wow, yeah, let’s tune in to Fury’s next fight because if he wins this he’s gonna fight Wilder.’
“He won’t fight [Tony] Bellew, he won’t fight Dillian Whyte. He ain’t gonna fight Deontay Wilder.”

Hearn then insisted he believes Fury won’t take on a fight of that magnitude due a lack of confidence after two-and-half-years out of the ring.
He added: “I’m sure he will next year, he’ll fight everybody. But he’s got no confidence at the moment; he’s just been out the ring for two years.
“But it’s a great story to be fair. It’s good for the hype.”
Fury responded to Hearn’s doubts telling the Matchroom boss that the clash is definitely happening.
