The comedian, Michael McIntyre, 42, was mugged by two men who approached his stationary Range Rover on mopeds in June. The star has since spoken out about the incident and admitted he had been left “rattled” according to The Sun by the shocking incident which saw robbers snatch his £15k watch in a hammer attack. According to The Sun’s TV mag he said: “When something like that happens to you the world seems very scary for a while. You are so rattled.

“I literally thought everyone was going to attack me.”

The comic also admitted despite the terrifying incident, comedy has helped get him through it.

He told the publication: “Just after it, everybody was talking to me about it and saying they were sorry and telling me their own stories which suddenly made the world even more terrifying.

“You realise that so many people have been through stuff. I talked about it in my live show because it felt like I could not.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to laugh at certain things but comedy can help.”

At the time, Michael’s publicist told the BBC the comedian was “fine” following the incident in west London.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement to the website that they were called at 1.39pm to reports of a robbery.

“The victim was stationary in his car when two males on a moped smashed the car windows with a hammer before stealing property,” the statement read.

The star is believed to have been sitting in the car alone when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, the comedian has taken to social media to reveal the Michael McIntyre Christmas Charity show will be held at the Eventim Apollo theatre.
