A white member of the Leavenworth County Board of Commissioners in Kansas has resigned after telling a black marketing consultant he was a part of the “grasp race” throughout a public assembly. 

Louis Klemp, 80, issued a public apology by way of a resignation letter learn throughout a board assembly on Tuesday, writing “I remorse my latest remark” and including his intentions had been “well-meaning”. 

His controversial remarks arrived throughout a public assembly held earlier this month a couple of potential new growth being constructed within the area, that includes Triveece Penelton, a black feminine marketing consultant for VIREO Planning Associates in Kansas Metropolis.
